So until recently all my images where shot in JPEG, just started RAW these past few months and this last weekend I 2nd shot a wedding, and ALL my outdoor images with grass / trees in them seem to have a major yellow tone/color instead of dark green it almost looks burnt.... anyone know why? most images where shot in AV mode (with some I used flash for fill).

again indoor images where fine but not the outdoor ones where the bride/groom where alone in all the Green areas.

Camera used: Canon 5Dm2

Are you shooting WB target during the shoot? What WB settings are you using in PP?

Just an FYI...people may want to see a few of the images. Have you tried correcting the images in PP? If so what were the results? Were these shot in the Raw format? I'm curious to see some of the photos.

auto WB in RAW, the weather was horrid from bright sunshine to dark clouds within seconds and we had less then 30 min to do the out door shots....plus the rain drops came and went....

I will try to post a sample once I get home, I'm at my day job for the next 8 hours or so.

yes I shot in RAW, I have not fiddled around with them yet, I just thought it was soooo odd for this to happen when it doesnt do this with the large jpeg images.

What software are you using to view and process the Raw files?

When you are just getting started with Raw shooting, it's a good idea to use DPP at least for a reference so you can see what the jpeg would look like out of camera. All Raw processors let you set your White Balance, but DPP can give you that ability to check on what your camera would do.

When shooting in uncertain lighting, Auto WB can be tricky, but outdoors it's typically in an acceptable range that can easily be adjusted, but what your Raw converter makes of it can be uncertain.

Also when post processing make sure you are using a suitable picture mode. I always use faithful, landscape looks artificial to my eyes and even standard seems to give odd colourations.

But the beauty of RAW is that you can rework everything without loosing any quality as many times as you like.

I have found that color to occur when the white balance is on a darker setting, like cloudy or shade, and the grass, trees, etc. are really in sunlight. The bride's dress could be perfect to use for the "click white balance" in DPP as long as she's in the same lighting conditions as the background, and not under some type of shady cover. But you might be able to batch process more quickly if changing the WB to "daylight" works...
