Hi
I just got a 7D a couple of weeks ago
Was looking for a duck with no luck
So I had to use the Vduck attached
I went to a concert in the desert where a nice set was erected and I took the attached photo @ ISO 6400
I love the feel and performance of the 7D :D
The only comment I have is that there is no sensor to detect eye in viewfinder (like the rebel) to turn off the back screen

Doesn't a half press on the shutter make the rear screen turn off?

Why would the Back screen be on?

As my eyes getting old (along with me) it is hard to use the top screen so i use the Q mode often

I like the Q screen a lot. The things I change most often other than shutter and aperture are the AEB and the AF point type, neither of which are shown on the top LCD.

AF point type isn't shown? the mode is, do you mean the exact point you are using?

AF point mode can be changed by pressing the point selection button and toggle with the M-Fn button while looking thru the finder
but is is sometimes easier on back screen

Much easier for me. I normally leave the cursor on that item so all I have to do is press the Q button and spin the large wheel.

The AF point type is shown in the viewfinder. But if I want to change it from "spot AF" to "single point expanded" then it's easiest by using the Q menu.

I never saw a proper definition of a duck here so you might be all right, at least you haven't gotten the same flames as the guys who have shot a goose and tried to flog it here as a duck, it takes a long time to build trust after that ;-)a ...
