Just got a new 50d and 100mm f2.8L! It was a tough decision between the 50d and the 7d....I have seen so many beautiful pics posted by users of both. In the end, the money I saved on the camera went towards the lens. Time to start getting to know my new stuff!

Well done Dave..

Hang onto your 30D as a backup camera.. The 30D and 50D work well together, as my 20D and 50D does..

Smart choice Dave!

The 50D isn't that far behind compared to a 7D in imagequality, better buy a 50D with a good lens than pickup the latest camera like the 7D with a just decent lens.

You won't be disapointed with the 50D, especialy when using good lenses.

I FINALLY got the chance to play around with the new toys. I never owned a prime lens or an L lens or a macro lens before but after messing around a little bit I wonder what took me so long to get one! I don't have any pics worth posting yet, but this set up has opened a whole new world for me. This is going to be fun!

50D's are awesome, and smart choice to pick a cutting-edge lens over a incredible body!

Finally got to play with the new camera and lens. Two pics from the back yard yesterday evening. The top picture is a Zinnia bud and the bottom one is what it grows into. They are beautiful flowers. This is my first attempt at posting pics....we'll see what happens!
