still getting a feel for the new lens. this is a landscape crop from a shot of a big ugly building. thoughts? i may post the full image for a better crop suggestion.

the more i think about it, the more i'm thinking that there might be more potential with the full image. any thoughts on this?

To tell you the truth, I would have cropped this the opposite. You have a lot of blank space on the left side. If there's any "movement" in this image, it's the wires extending off the edge on the right side. Moving everything left would show more of the wires instead of cutting them off. There also seems to be some kind of moire artifact or maybe a jpg compression artifact that is most apparent in the insulators. It makes them look blurry.

i definitely know what you mean about movement. i usually keep this in mind, but figured i'd break the rule this time. i figured the clouds curling up the left side would balance the composition, too.

There is a lot of wasted space in the l/h side, perhaps a portrait crop would be more appropriate.

I wish the lines were not so cropped, I like leading lines to go on for a bit.

Try this is in a flip, then B&W, 5X7 crop....
