You have probably already seen Joe & Harv's super shots of this bird, so I hope you don't mind a few more. The Eared Grebe is a rare visitor to the area and stayed around for more than a week. These were taken last Tuesday morning however when I went back Friday morning he wasn't to be found. While in the Cobourg Harbour he provided lots of birders a great view and lots of photographers some great close up opportunities.

Great shots Scott. I can tell you though, when he left there, he didn't come this way. :)

Thanks Mitch...sorry he didnt show up in WI :) I'm not sure how misplaced birds decide where they go at this point, I trust he does OK wherever he went.

Wonderful shots Scott....this is one I'll probably never actually see in person, they're such beautiful birds.

You can send him down here, there's a small pond in the woods! These are beautiful shots Scott, I'm happy that you got some images of this great looking bird.

Thanks Dave, they are a beautiful bird and because of their body cycles can only fly about two months of the year (to migrate in spring & fall) and are unable to fly the rest of the time.
