I never really did "sermonizing" very well. The last church I attended was about 15 years ago now, and the pastor had an equal passion for sports and the church, and always interjected sports metaphors as part of his sermons. He also had long hair and wore jeans. He was quite interesting to listen to. So many of the ministers I heard when younger were so terribly dry with their sermons. Do they guarantee you get the same photo ops they show on the site? -JIM-

More info | Thanks, everyone for your nice comments on my shots Belmondo wrote in post #10521430 I remember trips across the country on Route 66. When we moved to California in 1949, all our family was still in the east, and the Interstate Highway System didn't exist. Every couple of years, Dad would put the family in the car and head east for a visit. Feeling very nostalgic right now. Maybe I'll put 'Cars' on the DVD. ![]() My aunt traveled back and forth across the country as child, her stories about the people she met and the things she saw (via rt 66) are a big part of my fascination with that old road. neil_r wrote in post #10521801 We had a bit of bad news today that we were not expecting. Whilst I was away Norman, one of out two 14 year old cats has been playing with his mouth which has caused some soft tissue damage. T took him to the vets last week and they suggested that he may be having some trouble with his teeth, so an appointment was made for him to go in today, and have his teeth looked at and scraped under a general anesthetic, Unfortunately it is not his teeth, they were simply a symptom of a bone tumor in his skull. The vet has removed the teeth that were lose as a result of the tumor. It is on the top mandible below his eye, all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that it is not a fast growing tumor and ensure that we understand what affect it is having on him. The prognoses is not so good ![]() Sorry to hear this, Neil. GAH!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
