Chief....funny you mentioned hardware stores....we had a hardware store that was part of the local feed mill when I was a kid....thing is...they had just about every nut, bolt, screw, nail or other fastener that you could imagine. Today, if you need an oddball hardware item, Lowes or Home Depot will be more than happy to special order it for you....at an extra charge.

If I see one more post asking about "is this too noisy" with a 500% crop of an underexposed image I'm gonna scream!!

There is a good reason why I avoid that section of the forum like the plague.

I love farm supply stores. They have SO much stuff the big hardware stores never touch.

We have a local hardware store in the town that I work in, we try to use them for the everyday little things we need. we have a store charge which is helpful for me sending folks to get stuff as well, but we are a small not for profit that struggles to make ends meet and I have to go to the big guys when there are things I know I can save a substantial amount of money on.

I processed a couple of the other horse shots if you want to see.

Would love to have a set like these and the one of Dan's in a gallery set similar to THIS (external link).

When we first moved to the San Jose area, there were still lots of orchards and other agricultural enterprises going on. There was a hardware store called Orchard Supply that catered to the farmers/growers of the area, and they had all that really neat stuff. As time went by and the valley was overtaken with houses and shopping centers, they gradually migrated away from that sort of business, and became more of a Home Depot-ish home improvement store. Eventually they were bought by Sears, and I don't know what happened to them after that.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

You echoed my "cwap" I think.

Today the dentist office called just before I was going to call them to remind me of my Wednesday appointment. I told them about it, sounds like they might be able to put a temporary in that might take to the first of the year and I can use the insurance again. We'll see. Funny is the piece has stayed tight after I lined it back up yesterday.
