So if your in the White House and a storm rolls through, Tornado Take shelter type. Are you invited in the basement or shuffled out the door?

You are left in place, sturdy building, Obama missed the earthquake even though he was home.

Nothing like a friendly vet. Ours leaves a lot to be desired.

I love the vet we have here. The clinic is owned by a woman/vet and she only has women vets employed. They are all very very good and very nice people. I'm going to miss them when we move

We had fun, today was almost too hot to be on the beach, we only stayed 2 hours.

Check this one out Lisa...the beach yesterday (above) was less crowded than the one we went to today.

Pah... You should see our beaches on a holiday weekend.

Actually, this incident led to a 1-year trial alcohol ban on San Diego's beaches that was made permanent at the end of the trial period. Since the enactment of the ban, the beaches have become a lot more family friendly and there haven't been any more incidents like the one in the video.

Canon? I thought you had a waterproof Olympus.

I did, the focus went wonky and I replaced it with the Canon.

John the beaches here are dry, in fact the whole town of Ocean City NJ is a dry town. In Jersey speak, dry means alcohol free.

You all shoulda been riding with JimBear!!!! He was trying and succeeding in beating Terri back to the house.:| I was in the back seat holding on for dear life! Every once in awhile I would remind him that I get car sick.:lol:

Edit: Maybe I was in the front seat. I don't remember now. LOL All I know was I was holding on with everything I had.

It was nice of Jim to wait for me at important intersections, lol.

For those not in the know... this is what the desk looks like in the hotel room on an HWAC run.

We have:
Gift bag from friend (had dog toys in it), dog food, dinner leftovers, tennis balls, dog bowls, poop bags, WINE (empty bottle!), and leashes.
Oh and an unused ice bucket. Wine doesn't last long enough to get warm.

Oh yeah. We know how to have fun.

NICE!
I like Barefoot Cab.

There was, however, a slight chance of a "I've got a stick dog" panel in the offing, but I'm too tired.

I'm off to bed. Big day tomorrow. One must be alert and vigilant when walking about town with a Dragon.

It was a wonderful day!

Happy Saturday Everybody

Yep, you was the passenger, and it was not THAT bad. More like good fun. :D

As yes, you were the front passenger. I decided it was time to slow down when you reached out with your left hand and took a death grip.

I can usually shake people tailing me quite easily, that Dragon Lady, not so well. ;)

You are too kind, Jim Bear ;)

Happy Birthday to your Lisa!

Turns out I didn't have to wait! :D

It was easy! He called and said all I had to do was plug the thing into the power pole. I said I would if I could get the darn thing over to the pole. Its a HEAVY lil sucker. At least for a wimp like me. But I hefted it over there, plugged it in, and TA DA! I am now a cooler woman! Now I have my fingers and toes crossed that it will fix the problem and that we have NO more probs. At this rate we'll never save up enough money for a 5DII.

YAY!

Afternoon :)

Just got back from a morning with the dragon and her spouse. We had a really nice visit. It's just been waaaay too long.

To sum it up, we played at the Saturday market, where Dan saw jelly fish, we found a hat for Chris that says "fish whisperer" and Terri said I could have a didgeridoo! Then we went to voodoo donuts where Frank bought us all donuts. Then we went to lunch where Frank encouraged larceny and played with sharp knives, Terri multi-tasked eating & conversations and I was nearly led down the dark side of the law. Twas a fun day.

Nice summary, lol!
It was the best day EVAH!

Permagrin wrote in post #10555155 (external link)
it was the best you ever had. You oooh'd and ahhh'd over it.

oh and btw...Zane never squealed once. That was just such false advertising.

and I bet Montana is a darling! Hope Cameron gets along well with their dog.

All of THAT ^^^ LOL

I think it's so cool that you're starting to name dogs after states. I can't wait to see which dog you choose to name Rhode Island.

oh and the official verdict on the peach fritter...it was very very sweet. They put frosting on it (who puts frosting on a fritter??) and yes Terri, it was cream cheese. Dan and I split it and half was almost overwhelmingly sweet.

Good to know!

Truth be told, I would have probably eaten the frosting and given the rest to Hubby, lol.
