I went to the doctor to get a steroid shot in my neck as well as a nerve block on the nerve responsible for the cervicogenic headaches I have been suffering with. To get me through the injections, they sedated me with Versed. Afterwords, the doc told me to do NOTHING for the rest of the day. The problem is, I was given a link to a "how-to" regarding capturing water drops. Wanting to give this "how-to" a go, I ignored my doctor's instructions (and my wife's objections) and set up a water drip setup, printed a custom-colored light reflector to add some depth, and started shooting. Considering that the Versed still seems to have my head in a fog, I think the water drops turned out great, for a first timer. Constructive C&C welcomed:

not bad , esp the second one.
try to keep the camera closer to horizontal. that helps keep the entire drop in plane of focus. remember to light the background. good first efforts.

C'mon... you HAVE to give me points for doing this directly after being filled with Versed! heh heh heh I might give this another go, today. Depending on if my neck (where they injected me with all sorts of goodies, yesterday) stops hurting long enough for me to set up and shoot, again.

Oh, I should mention, also, that I DID reflect the flash off a background (a custom colored pattern that I made in Photoshop and printed off). The thing is, I have no way to get my EX580-II off-camera, as of yet, so I have to shoot on-camera. Kind of adds a level of complexity.
