Has anybody been there as a fan this year?

The website says they allow lenses up to 8" in length, but I'm wondering how they measure. Are zoom lenses measured at max extension or minimum?

Are they being strict or lax? Are they hassling people even when technically within the rules? Anything else I would need to know before going?
