Sooo....the sigma is better. Better build and sharper where you want it. my canon is pixel peeping sharp at f1.4 and gets better stopped down of course... 5DII 7D

Sigma is better built and as everyone will tell you there have been some front/back focus issues. That's one of the reasons the hood is there for.
