Hello guys,

Here is a photo from today from a bridge aver Baldorioty de Castro avenue in Puerto Rico. This is my first time doing this kind of photo. hope you like it..

I was shooting in shutter priority @ 10 seconds.
ISO: 50

It's a good shot. A darker sky would be nice, too.

Thanks... yeah me too. That was just minutes after the sun went down. I was going to wait until it gets darker but the police is not that friendly there..

I was going to wait until it gets darker but the police is not that friendly there..

Since you used a tripod, you also could have taken a second shot for a darker sky & then blended them together in PS. Not quite as easy as waiting for a later shot, but it works.

Very nice results. I agree that a darker sky would be nice. As far as capturing the movement of the lights coming off of the cars, it looks like you got that down nicely. I've been looking for a bridge near where I live for awhile now so I can take some shots like yours.

I totally agree with you... tonight I'm going to take some other shots but this time I will start around 9PM.

Just a suggestion, try shooting at twilight and shoot into the night as the light from the sun drops off completely. If done right you can get some beautiful colors in the sky at twilight. As the light is disappearing, the sky is constantly changing, which makes for some incredible photo opportunities
