From Pocket Wizard site:

And Rob Galbraith's Site:

Every 2-4 weeks Pocket Wizard announces a new product. Yet, they haven't pushed a new product (FlexTT5/MiniTT5) to the street in 14 months.

Still waiting on AC3, AC7, Mini/Flex for Nikon, PowerST4 for Elinchrom, AC9 for Alien Bees, and now PowerMC2 for Einsteins....

Does this mean you can shoot above the camera shutter speed or just allowing you to control the strobes from the camera?

I find this interesting

The PowerMC2 will be sold through Paul C. Buff and will be available this fall.

Something to do with 'Investor Relations' - I suspect! ;)

However, they currently have a great line-up of products despite identified quirks....
They really are committed to making an elaborate and comprehensive 'flash-control' system that is and will remain way ahead of the competition.
I think most are just waiting for the AC3 Zone Controller....
(the photographic-world equivalent to the computer-world awaiting the iPAD)

This makes me excited. I'm glad that I didn't go for the csxcv system just yet. I'll look forward to grabbing pocketwizards. :) that means more cash out of my pocket. No wonder they are called pocket wizards. They make my pockets thinner

This is good news. Now if PCB can figure out a way to make the Einstein participate in the Canon HSS scheme via the ControlTL interface that would be really cool.

^ that would then undermine pocketwizard's MC2.

How would that undermine the MC2? It would be required to for the ControlTL signals to control the Einstein.

hmmm. If pocketwizard revealed their code to Paul C Buff to enable ettl/hss, wouldn't paul integrate that into his cybersyncs? It's like giving your opponent the resources that you had invested in time and R&D.

I'm sure that there are contracts that could handle that. Plus, there would be advantages for both Buff (positioning the Einsteins as a more professional tool beyond the AlienBees' reputation) and PW (gaining market share by tapping into the Einstein sales/price point) to play nicely at the moment.

I'm off lining my cage with newspaper.

I used Einsteins and Pocket Wizards on a recent shoot. Even with the long extension cables to keep the pocket wizards away from the lights which the Paul Buff tech people suggested I had a lot of problems. I'll definitely be using the cybersync system until this all gets fixed up. I do appreciate the customer service response that I got from Paul Buff on it but I am a little worried about how long this overhaul will really take. I'd like to get back to using my pocket wizards which I have a sizable investment in and which are superior and more professional in the sense that I can use them with my Profotos or speedlights any other lighting system I care to use as well.
