Topic: Man machine interface.

I was wondering which finger most photographers use on the shutter button of their D-SLR s.

I'm in the habit of using my index finger on the shutter but it occurs to me that the second finger might be better. That way you can leave your index finger on the focus point selection dial and squeeze the shutter with your second finger. This way you don't have to change the position of your fingers. One possible problem is that the camera may be less steady if you only have your third finger and pinky wrapped around the grip.

This is a sincere question!

Index on the shutter, always. usually I can control what I need to from the QCD on the back.... I have tried to shoot with my middle finger but the weight of my camera makes it hard to do.
