Another wonderful spring in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and in Cades Cove specifically.
I am lucky to live within 15 minutes of the western gate

Part of a Mom and three cubs

Great shots! We actually just got back from the smokies a few weeks ago and were lucky enough to see 15 bears while we were there. I'm so jealous of you being 15 min away from such a wonderful place!!

Great shots! In all the time I have spent in the NC mountains, I have never encountered a bear in the wild. And, I'm OK with that!

What lens were you using for the shot of mom alone? (#3) She doesn't look too happy.

Thanks for the comments.
Tammy - Glad that you enjoyed my "backyard"! LOL
Trout - All the photos were taken with a 500mm lens and a 1.4 tc. The Mom was not agitated in any way. She was happily foraging in a tree with her three cubs. The rain had stopped and the sun came out.

Yes, you are lucky to live so close. I need to get over there again. Right now the 50D in for repairs.
