Having got tired of chasing things around in the heat of the day, I thought I'd wander round in the evening light and see what I could find. Apart from being bitten by mosquitos I had a successful session. Here are my best - sorry for lack of identification, but it's getting a bit late.
1. a resting damselfly, either azure or common blue, probably latter. This is a manual stack of two shots, to get both ends of the broad head sharp.
2. an ugly orange fly. See the funny plant stem bottom right - I didn't notice the stems-with-blobs when I took the shot.
3. a 100% crop of the previous to show just how much detail the MPE-65 picks up when you get the focus right.
4. a pretty micro moth.
