Hello all,

I have a 5d mkii and 580ex. Cannot seem to access the flash custom functions. Neither can I with my 220ex.

Why not?

Also, im on firmware 1.0x something, should I update?

thanks

When did it start? Are they both mounted on the camera when you're doing this? Were you ever able to adjust them?

Stupid question, but just covering the simple stuff before someone who knows what they're doing shows up; are you pressing and holding the C.fn button?

If you're trying to access them directly from the camera you won't be able to do it with the original 580EX, you need a 580EX Mk II or 430EX Mk II in order to control them from the camera's menu.

+1

You can only access flash custom functions direct on the flash, not through the camera menu.

I'd consider it good too, much better than a broken flash. :)
