What can I use this CF card for?

So I was cleaning out my P&S stuff and I found this gem from canon. They put it in the SD500 or SD750 box I forget which one.

Carry a few JPEGs to the photo store to make prints? Firmware upgrades, as and when they come out?

I doubt it came with an SD model unless somebody really goofed - those all take SD cards. Maybe an S model?

I think some body goofed. I had it and was thinking WTF where does this go :lol: . I only had those two point and shoots.

I guess I will do firm ware upgrades on it. I was thinking antique store :lol:

At least you can fit one raw file on that card. The two at top left here can't even manage that -

I have a digital picture frame
I format my jpegs to fit the frame
and put them on that little card
and into the frame.. works well.

scary part is that the 8M cost about the same as the 8G.
progress is wonderful!

i lied, used to be a 64 meg card was only $300, if memory serves, this was in the early 2000's.

No, I don't collect them - I just don't throw them away. Most of those in the pic were ones I could find with a quick sift through draws and bags. There's probably another 5-10 lying around somewhere.

It is scary that, apart from the two 8MB cards which were freebies, all the others would have cost about the same.
