I was playing around tonight some and when I loaded my pictures on the computer I saw I had a lot of hot pixels. Is there a way to get rid of them or do I have to deal with them?

LVMoose Moose gets blamed for everything. More info | I think the latest version of UFRaw can get rid of them, remembers their location and takes care of them, so you don't have do the same work for every image. BUT, I haven't tried it yet. Moose

Jul 02, 2010 19:34 | #6 I have a dumb question. I just noticed on the lens I shot this with has some "shiny spots" like dust but it will not come off with the blower. Could the coating on the lens, I assume there is one, be starting to come off and making it look like hot pixels? http://www.flickr.com/photos/61517977@N03/

Jul 03, 2010 13:28 | #10 What is a decent Lens cleaning fluid? I took a micro fiber cloth and gently wiped the lens and they are still their. Just thought that during the long exposures the spots could be coming up and looking like hot pixels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/61517977@N03/

Spots on your lens won't show up in photos as sharp specks, but they can show up as blurry objects if shooting into the sun, and if your lens is really dirty it can affect contrast.

Jul 03, 2010 19:09 | #13 My camera phone is not working out. The spots look like metal shavings, but they are not. I will see if I can get my tamy 17-50 back from my dad to use and take a better shot. http://www.flickr.com/photos/61517977@N03/

Jul 03, 2010 19:10 | #14 Thanks all for the help so far. It is not affecting picture quality that I can see, but noticed them the other day and then though it might be that in the picture and hot hot pixels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/61517977@N03/
