Great work Pham and thanks for all the background information about each individual photo as well, it really gives something that a lot of us here in the forum wants to work towards especially such a technical, but ultimately artistic, understanding of lighting.

I do understand not wanting to jump into the uncertainty of self employment even though you have all the tools and skill behind you. I was wondering though, how you have so much time on your hands because I sometimes find myself too burnt out at the end of a day. The spontaneous weather in the Canadian northwest does not help either.

Good pics. Keep it up!

Also, how do you go about finding your models and how do you even convince them to model for you?

@Tsxn - I think he is in Indiana... Corn fed girls abound! My question would be more how does he get an 18 YO girl *AND* her whole family to come out and make art! But if he is as nice in RL as he is here, that is a no brainer! He asks politely.

yep.. i just post photos on face book and most of the time.. the models contact me.. and if 18 or under, i always make sure one parent is around..

I love these..Your work really amazes me at times mate.

...but I thought that I might add some hopefully constructive observation.

The first pic which is stunning but obviously is a comp, has some bad masking around her heel and sole of her shoe on the right leg.

Since its an easy fix for you I thought I would mention it. Then it would be perfect! ;)

wow.. out of some 5,523 views on flickr and here, nobody but you have noticed that..

very good eyes.. and it should be fixed before i print it big..
thanks !

Amazing Pham, I seriously can't pick a favorite cause every single one is great. The first car shot is very creative, awesome job on that and the rest of these!

thanks jordan.. you got anything new lined up with your new 5dMKII??

Wow...outstanding!
The one with the two girls in the car...you shot that through the windshield? I would have thought I would see some reflection on the windshield?

yep.. the lighting was straight thru the windshield.. i too though that would cast a glare but it didn't.. and i wanted to short light the girls too. so it all worked out.

thanks for the warm welcome guys..

Oustanding Pham and lovely model. She looks so at ease in front of the camera. Thank you so much for sharing your detailed lighting info. It is very very helpful for us less experienced with OCF lighting.

I have not been on here in months...I have always loved your work and though it was top notch and would be hard for people to ever out do... However you seem to have outdone your own work in the last several months. It is amazing to see your work progress even more.

very inspiring... I might even pick my camera back up again soon....

Keep it up and thanks for sharing.

Very nice! The pool shot is amazing. The roller blade shot is very engaging as well!

Stupid question of the day:
The "motion" in the car shots is photo-shopped, no?
