Great lighting. Looks like mkII will love you back. All I got her to do was stop papers from floating away. >_<

Glad it has a good home. :)

I have not used one but from what I hear you will really notice the difference with the speed of focus and tracking compared to your 350

I hate to paddle against the stream...

I hate to paddle against the stream but, I don't like the lighting at all. Perhaps if you placed a reflector to her right to provide some fill light and somehow worked to remove the IMO distracting shadow from the rear, you would still have a very graphic, but unflattering portrait of a lady with a very wrinkled complexion.

I love this statement which is in the introduction to Neil Van NieKirk's excellent flash article, "These pages were originally written to help other photographers who struggle with on-camera flash. But they were also written as a reaction against the snobbery of the purists who insist on using available light only – even when it looks terrible."

I'm by no means a purist, i used what was available. But in all honesty, i like the light.

What do you find unflattering? Is it the pose, or just that she has wrinkles? People do tend to develop wrinkles as they age hehe!

Thanks for the c&c, it's always helpful to hear differing opinions. ;)
