hi

i've always been targetting the powerex/maha battery chargers.

but i was shopping in the local hardware store when i spotted the:

Ansmann powerline 5 lcd battery charger, i was attracted by the fact that it could discharge and charge batteries (and charge all sizes) that was cheaper than the powerex/maha chargers.

impulse buy. :o

now that i'm looking over the powerex/maha charger specs to see if i done good ... i'm seeing features like "analyze" , selecting speeds as to charge and discharge batteries ...

did i just do a booboo?

Being able to choose charge and discharge rate is nice, but as long as your doesn't do it too quickly, it is not an essential feature. I am not sure about "analyze" but "refresh" feature is nice (it pretty much keeps charging and discharging until the capacity does not go higher).

I have an Ansmann Photo-Cam III and I love it. Best charger I've ever had. Ansmann is respected in Europe.

That doesn't answer your question does it.:o

God Bless The EU - You can take our lives but you will never get our cheese or our tea bags! Camera Stuff List - made under duress Canon Sx1 IS - Yes it is official I have a P&S making me a member of the underclass. Unclean! Unclean! You might have a big telephoto lens but I have a Janco Adapter - I don't blame you for being jealous. 3€ Neoprene Strap from China - its so soft. I won't hold it against you that you only have a DSLR

i suck.

TECHNICAL DATA:
Charging current: Micro AAA: 500 mA; Mignon AA: 1000 mA; Baby C: 1000 mA; Mono D:1000 mA; 9V: 15 mA

those are the charging specs for my ansmann charger.

i heard 200 mA was ideal.
