I'm looking for a compact camera bag that would help me carry 7D + 24-105L lens attached. Maybe if there's room for flash that might be useful too, but not required.
My main concern is for a bag to be small enough, and be able to carry full DSLR body (not just compact Rebel). I already have Tamrac Messenger 5 that can carry most of my stuff, but was looking for something compact, like when traveling to the beach or friends' party. I hate to carry my camera on the back seat :)

It seems like there are sooooo many options that drive me crazy. Please post your suggestions. Also, I'm on the budget side, so looking primarily at Tamrac/Lowerpro/ThinkTank....please advise

i have this for my Gripped 30D + 70-200f/4 or 11-16f/2.8 with a flash. Love this bag. The support could be a little better (a little more padding), but not a deal breaker for the price.

Ungripped? Domke F5Xb will do nicely and doesn't look too "gear"ish.

I use a Lowepro Toploader 70 Pro AW for my gripped T1i and 24-70. I can add a lens bag to carry my 70-200 or a flash, it is very compact too.

I like the "toploader" option, looks slim.

Is there any bag that looks like a small "lunch box" that will fit a Gripped 7D + lens? Similar to lowepro loader, only "horizontal" shaped ?

It's not horizontal but I use a ThinkTank Holster 50 for my gripped 7D and 24-105 or 70-200.
