Looks like someone got sick of the free work ads and wants to fight back

We are looking for photographers to book "Free" gigs and then not show up. We are hoping that people who are unwilling to pay for photography will soon learn that we place no value on them either. Are you ready to make a statement. We have established web, phone and email alias for you to use.

Sounds kind of childish, but at the same time I can't help but laugh.

The problem isn't with people asking for free photography. The problem is with people giving away free photography. If you even want to call it a problem. I don't think it is. People get what they pay for when they enter into deals like that and it has no affect on me whatsoever because I never would have booked someone who didn't have the cash to pay in the first place.

It seems to me that the photographers losing out and **** about it never had a superior product to offer.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I had seen that ad and someone had put a response on craigs saying that when they contacted them and provided rates (which were like $25 an hr) they were told how dare they try to charge for such an amazing opportunity to work with such a prominent cell phone company and that they should be more then happy with the amazing exposure they would be providing them.

The problem is digital..With no material cost, people think they can get it for free or cheap.

The other problem is just supply and demand. There are a LOT more photographers than there were before.

Another issue is perception..People think it is easy... ask my sister *LOL*

I saw an ad for a TFCD wedding. She was advertising for a friend.. Just what you need a beginner photographer shooting a wedding...

I still do TFCD but it is on my terms :)

My favorites are the ones that say compensation is negotiable, and immediately jump to "TFP and we'll credit your images" as their form of 'payment'.
