What does each of those two knobs control? 2. The description of this head on Adorama says there is a safety catch to prevent accidental releasing of the QR plate. Is that pictured? On my current Manfrotto head, it is a little golden flip. Thanks!

There's also a knob out of both pictures that controls pan separately. Jon

Here's the (smaller) F-2 holding (after an hour at that angle) a 1D3 and 70-200 2.8 IS. Note I'm not using the tripod mounting ring; that's fastened to the camera, so you're seeing more torque than you typically would.: You can always just replace the QR clamp with the RRS lever clamp; I did on one of mine.
