Mid-Ohio 6/19/10

Went to the Rolex race at Mid-Ohio in Mansfield, OH over the weekend. First time shooting a race of any kind, I thought they turned out well.

They turned out very well.

i think #2 is pretty soft...

Yeah it is a little front focused. My other pictures were sharp from there but I didn't like the position of the cars as much, it doesn't matter I'm not going to print it anyways.

Nice job. The watermark is a little distracting in some of them.

I'm not sure if you shot from the spectator area or had a press pass because Mid-Ohio can be challenging to avoid some of the fences but you did great!

Yeah I was just a spectator. I mostly shot at turn 1 and around the course I tried to get shots through the photo holes when the pros weren't clogging them up. I tried to get a media pass for the Honda Superbike race next month but because of insurance issues they couldn't let me buy one.
