Hi
Amber is a co-worker's daughter. We got together, did some simple portraits and had a great time! Very photogenic girl.

Please C&C, harsh or not, anything goes ... Thanks for looking!

Beautiful image, great pose, lighting is good but a bit light (could be my monitor), lovely senior, incredible eyes and PP good. However, the nails are a bit gross but beyond your control. Let's face it, you have to give the client what she/he wants even if it's distracting to others. I am sure your client will love the image. Great work!

Thank you

I agree on the nails. But like you said, to each his/her own.

I'll echo these comments and also mention there seems to be a slight WB issue, but I don't have a calibrated monitor.

I'm sure she'll love the shot.

The left side of her face is a bit soft for me personally (could just be my eyes) and the nails are hideous ;) but the photo is good, she has very pretty eyes.

40D, 24-70 2.8L , some other suff too but it hasn't seen the light of day since the 24-70 arrived ;)

Cute girl and a nice pic.
I'd probably use a lil recovery to get rid of the hot spots on her face, elbow and hand. She also looks a lil orange.

The shot seems slightly overexposed and the white balance is just a bit too orange on my calibrated monitor. Could you have used a custom white balance for this? Over all, the shot looks pretty good, but if you use a gray card, you could set your exposure and WB off of it.

1Dx - 5DIII - 40D - Canon 24-70LII, 100L macro, 135L, 16-35L, 70-200 f4 and 100-400L lenses

- "Very good" is the enemy of "great." Sometimes we confuse the two.

I used a whibal card and had to adjust even more after that. She does a lot of tanning so she actually is orange. haha

I'll do a re-edit tonight and fix the exposure/hot spots and white balance ... and i'll post again

Thanks everyone

As other have said, too much flash and over exposed. Her skin is also rather red.
