I have the RS-2. While I like it functionally, I find the pocket and strap quite bulky in general. Assume the 4 and 7 are slimmer? Which is better in your opinion and why? Which is the slimmest?

I just upgraded to a T1i and am looking at a few accessories. First off; I've heard great things about the Black Rapid RS strap.. so I'm planning on picking one up. I plan on doing some traveling in a few months so I'm looking to also pick up something light to protect my camera in a backpack or on me. But, I've searched and couldn't find anything relating to a sleeve that works with the RS strap. My thoughts are you would need something that didn't close completely and you had some access to the tripod socket. So something like this might work: http://www.amazon.com …ics&qid=1277232464&sr=8-1 But you'd have to load the camera in upside down, so the tripod socket was adjacent to the opening. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Or is anyone using a sleeve with their RS strap? I'm open to ideas. Thanks guys! Is this what you were considering 1Dx, 1DM4, 5DM2, 7D, EOS-M, 8-15L, 17-40L, 24 TSE II, 24-105L, 50L, 85L II, 100L, 135L, 200L f/2.8, 300L f/4, 70-200L II, 70-300L, 400Lf/5.6

Thanks! Is that the RS-7? How do you think it works with the sleeve? Which brand sleeve is that? The strap is a Black Rapid RS-5, the neoprene cover is from ebay. 1Dx, 1DM4, 5DM2, 7D, EOS-M, 8-15L, 17-40L, 24 TSE II, 24-105L, 50L, 85L II, 100L, 135L, 200L f/2.8, 300L f/4, 70-200L II, 70-300L, 400Lf/5.6

It will work to protect the camera but it's still quite hard to remove the camera, the neoprene moulds itself around it due to it's stretch. I don't think it would be practical, a BR strap is designed to be used without a bag or cover. Or you coulde use some form of "Camera Armor" or "Silicone Skin" , a bit unsightly, but would definitely protect the camera from bumps and scrapes. http://cgi.ebay.com …&item=400130732933&_rdc=1 http://www.bhphotovideo.com …evices_DDSPROC500D_B.html Hmmmmm. I was interested in the Camera Armor before, but the reviews haven't exactly been overwhelmingly positive. I'm pretty rough with my stuff, so it would give me some piece of mind. One thing I saw thou, was that it "extended" the tripod socket.. which makes me wonder if it would work with RS strap.

I'm thinking I might pick up a neoprene sleeve too just because when I'll be traveling it'll be in my backpack without any other sort of protection. Do you think a camera with the armor would fit in a neoprene sleeve? Thanks again! If you want certainty that the Black Rapid strap will work, you'll need to get the Delkin Snug-It pro, from the pictures on the B&H website the tripod socket is not covered. 1Dx, 1DM4, 5DM2, 7D, EOS-M, 8-15L, 17-40L, 24 TSE II, 24-105L, 50L, 85L II, 100L, 135L, 200L f/2.8, 300L f/4, 70-200L II, 70-300L, 400Lf/5.6
