G11 Raw Setting Still is Jpeg files

Hi Everyone,

Thought I would try and come on here for some help.

I have my g11 set to "raw images only" but when I put the mem card in my computer to
look at the files they are all still jpegs....shouldnt they be a raw file format?

Take settings out of "AUTO" mode. Run it in "P" mode if you don't want apeture or shutter priority.

it is on P mode.....file still all show up as jpegs

I set it to "raw only images" in the menu, is there somewhere else I also have to tell it to shoot raw?

Yes, you must also press the Function button, and move down to Recording Pixels (Image Size), then use the left or right buttons or turn the control wheel to select RAW. Read page 74 in the user guide.

thanks!! that worked..........i bought a book I thought was better than the user guide, but I guess not b/c it left that part out
