First time shooting with OCF. All shot with canon 50d.

Good action but in both shots the t-shirt appears to have some clipped highlights.

The flash output is way too high, it's overpowering your subject. Also the frozen look doesn't work. Idealy pan and flash for more exciting photos.

OCF? Where did you mount it? In the top of the trees? The major light source appears to be sunlight to me. The problem here is that the camera exposed for the shadowed understory and the biker is in sunlight. You won't be recovering the clipped highlights in PP in my opinion.

Dappled sunlight is a major challenge. This is a place where an incident light meter and manual control might be the proper approach. You'll end up darkening the surroundings, however.

The post processing is way overdone. The original looks much better.

The flash in the first picture missed the target. Looks like you hit him from the side and it managed to catch most of his shirt and face, which are very white and blew them out compared to the rest of the picture. It probably would have worked better if you get him from the front(ish) and widened the flash beam to include the bike.
