I download to my P2000 (epson) at lunch time so essentially I have a total of 40Gb + 5.5 should I ever need it. I shoot horse events from 8:00am to late afternoon, sometimes 2 days in a row in away-from-home situations. A 40D, a 30D, some nice glass and a great Shooting Partner.

Seems like an extra step, and a waste of $500. This device seems more suited to clearing or backing up cards during the shoot, or away from home for an extended time, negating the necessity to buy more cards. Or is that how you use it, and I'm being picky?
