Traveling with the G11

Hi again...I have another few questions or at least need some advice!
I have recently bought the G11 and going to be traveling to Kenya with it in a few months. I am going on a safari and just traveling around for a bit. I am curious to see what type of advice you might have for me in regards to buying extra lenses and filters for the G11..to capture the wildlife, the landscape and the culture/people. Here is what I am toying around with

Canon TC-DC58C 2x
Canon WC - DC58B
Lensmate - A, B and C
Polarized filter for the 72mm.
what about a nice and light tripod for the G11 and all its accessories?

Is this an overkill to start off my photography/travel experience? If I was to take only one extra lens...does anyone have any recommendations? or opinions on which one? (zoom or wide angle). I do realize my questions are a bit vague...but any pointers would be much appreciated!

I totally agree with what you say as I bought my G11 as a Dslr backup. BUT I will say I went to a game fair this weekend and was confronted with a serious bright sky scenario and boy did I miss my polarizer. So I have ordered the Lensmate a+b and the p-type attachment. I think I will probably just buy a separate 72mm polarizer to screw into the lensmate as I really don't want to lug the p-type filters around. When I bought my G11 I bought a Giottos rocket, remote control, spare battery and manfrotto 785B tripod. What a fantastic backup kit. I fugure this is all I need and it sure beats lugging my 20kg Dslr kit around.

If I were going to Kenya and wanting to take the absolute bare minimum, I'd take my G11 and an SLR with a 100-400mm lens. The G11 will take wonderful landscapes, but you might be very sad that you don't have any reach for the wildlife. I would skip the extra lenses for the G11, buy the part A and then you can just put a 58mm polarizer on it for landscapes. You just have to be careful not to zoom out when you do things that way, but I did that recently on a two week trip and didn't have any issues. I actually have a 58-77 adapter and then can just use my 77mm polarizer on the G11.
