Great shot Sam. But it is not an osprey. Looks like a juvenile bald eagle to me.

Good shot Sam. This pose probably would intimidate an Osprey or any other bird for that matter and I assume this is one of the juvi's that you photographed Duane going in the canal to rescue.

I've noticed they have a tendency to perch with one set of talons gripped like this. Very nice.
