Yes, they are pretty good. I didn't realise just how small a brewer Sam Adams is...Still one day I'll do a trip down to the brewery for a tour....

Well, we are looking forward to it!

Greg, if you'd like to meet up for some drinks etc. (may be even watch the 1st ashes test in Brissie), we should be there for the last few days of Nov. Return flights to Sydney have been booked, just need to work the internals out, and I'll let you know - if you're up for it.

But of course! Autumnal colours!!

Yes, be great to catch up. I'm not sure which day yet but I think I have access to the Cricketers club on Fri 26th. Last year we spent the day sending SMS's and MMS's back to our mates at work. Classy thing like phots of the beer we were drinking and the meals we were eating and the view of the Cricket match.

Other wise we can meet in the City for a Coffee or Drink what ever day your schedule permits.

last time i did a beer sampling tour thing, was in the Kronenbourg brewery in Strasbourg. Now that was FUN!

At least this time we wouldn't have to drive...

I've done 3 tours of the XXXX brewery here in Brissie. The first as part of an Industrial Control Systems subject at Uni. Other times were with works mates as they did the same subject - so I tagged along. It's on the edge of the CBD so do-able if you are staying in the city.

It would suck if you had to drive after all the beer sampling. :)

Now that sounds like fun!! As far as I am aware we will be doing Sydney - Melbourne - Brissie - Cairns - Brissie - Sydney then back home...throw in a couple of other places here and there to visit old friends.

Sounds like a good time. I believe our friends live in Ascot or Hendra...somewhere in that area at least. Not too far outta town.

Sure would....Although I've done the wine tasting in the NY Finger Lakes region...plenty of drinking, then a wee drive back to the log cabin at Watkins Glen....next time, someone else can drive!

We used to do yearly wine tours to Stanthorpe, a wine growing region about 3hrs away. It was a weekend bus tour - so we drank as much as we liked.:D

My uncles came down to visit me today and we opened up a nice bottle of Courvoisier XO. We did 3/4 of it. So good!
