I've never been a a pool with a spray, but it sure is nice to be on a city sidewalk where they have a cooling spray on a hot day. I've encountered them in various places and it can be a real relief -- walking the Vegas Strip outside in the middle of summer can be challenging, and hitting some cooling spray, yumm...

It also comes in handy in restaurant patios -- the last time I was in Palm Springs I plopped myself under one in 100+ weather.

There are some at the zoo down in Columbia. Walking around the zoo and popping in on one of those sure is nice!

Ah yes, "Misters" as we call them...

They definately work provided the dew point is low enough.

That's why many homes out here in AZ still have evaporative cooling systems (aka Swamp Coolers.)

I do believe there is photographic evidence of a few of us being misted in Scottsdale...
