It also comes in handy in restaurant patios -- the last time I was in Palm Springs I plopped myself under one in 100+ weather.

One hot summer ride a bit back we stopped at a restaurant in Mineral, CA (in the foothills of Mt. Lassen). They didn't have a mister, but this gadget was great for cooling off before getting back on the bikes. Just fill the gloves and ride off...
