Had a fair bit going on so just one pic for now from Rally SA test day

Just had to share this

I've got no idea where that big rock ended up, but if that was the cause of the "WHIZZZZZ" as something went flying past my noggin at a fair ole rate of knots, I'm glad it didn't use me as an airbag.
I probably would have ended up in the middle of next week and still be seeing stars.

I know the feeling same thing happened me a couple of years back a string of shoots of a rally car running wide stones flying in my direction no pleasant.


Canon 1D MKII N 40D 300D...Lens 300 f/2.8 L IS. 70-200 f/2.8 L IS. 24-70 f/2.8 L. 16-35 f/2.8 L MKII. 1x4 + 2x extenders + other bits.

true story, rally NZ maby 2003? took a friend who had never been before, carlos sainz first car through the stage, standing on the outside fast sweeper, he didnt turn away as the car went past to shield from the debree etc an he got a huge shiny golfball bump on his forehead from a rock like that.. that photo reminds me of that day! nice work Phil awesome sence of motion and extreme rally driving

Pete, Robertstown Rally is coming up in a couple of weeks - August 14.
You should make the trip - only about 90 minutes away.
