Some are quite nice. Others have halos from the HDR. In others, the absence of brightness contrast between different elements kind of lumps everything together. It serves to affirm my opinion that HDR should be used judiciously.

Looks as if my dementia suffering grandfather has tried to turn black and white to colour with his poster paints as there is nothing that bears any relation to reality.

I'm not a fan of the over-the-top tone mapped HDRs. Too bad because some of the comps are very nice.

I think they would look great without the hdr, They look way overprocessed.

Agree, lose the Topaz, keep the originals. In this case, less is FAR more.

I like them all. I do agree though that some have strong halos. The last one is my favorite. Nice shots!

thank you for your comments. I knew that this type of work would not appeal to everyone as some would say "unrealistic" or "over processed". To me the images prior to being "filtered" are dull and boring. Good composition but very very dull. I was not sure how this type of work would be received however I have sold 8 prints similar to these in the last month alone which equates to over $800 in my pocket that I didn't have before, and have been invited to display my images at venues in my area so it appears that everyone has different tastes. Again I thank you all for you comments.

Well, I think that you've crossed over from the "use HDR to improve the image" to creating fine art that has a bit of your artistic vision in it. Your better HDRs put something in the image that the camera didn't catch. It was done well enough that people who bought your images appreciated the result. So continue to be immune from us stuffy technicians who criticize the "overcooked" look.
