With saying that, the Sigma is a much newer lens. So I would expect it to. =) Nikon D700: 16-35 F4, 50 1.4G, 85 1.8,105 VR Micro, 135F2 DC, 80-200 2.8 AFS

I cant wait to get something with the high ISO of the 5Dmk2 or better! Seeming how its 1 stop cleaner vs the 7D, The low light capabilities would be great! The 85=50(well around that) and I often find that just to long(especially in doors!). So the Sigma would be great! It's the best 50mm 1.4 out IMO. I'll be getting one soon. In fact, you will barely see any ![]() I don't have the 50, but got 30mm, and it's a decent lens. My copy of 85mm is REALLY sharp though, and Sigma is a little softer. Still usable wide open at f/1.4. Which do you find reaching for most? Your Sigma 30, Canon 50, or Canon 85? Currently debating these two. It has far less CA than the 85/1.8. The latter wide open can have a lot of CA whereas the Sigmalux has very little even wide open. I have both on a 5d and prefer the 50 as I find it more versatile as I can even use it as a walkaround lens if need be. But really I just like it's bokeh compared to the 85/1.8 hence why I use it more.
