PP star trails..

i thought i would give it ago on photoshop before i went out and did it for real haha.. let me know what you think !!

The first shot is great! I think the second shot needs more contrast. Still, the trails are gorgeous!

Well your astronomy artwork is done very well . What is the city in the first image and where did you take the startrail image or did someone else take it ? Also i agree the second image needs a little more contrast especially the startrail back ground area . Can you post a pict of the original startrail image ??

thanks yes i agree with your advice on the second shot it is almost a bit dull! the city is london.. no i took the star trail image off the internet but the actuall photo is mine.. i cant wait to get out and take my own though..

The second one looks totally fake though because you can see the boat and the wake from the boat. What's up with that?

I like the idea, and like the execution in #3. In #1 you can see star trail over top of the lower buildings, #2 I agree with everyone else.

He admitted that it was fake. He took his own photos and edited the star trails into them from a different shot.

Really cool! I would love to see the difference when you go out and do it all in the camera.

were the star trails from another shot, or were they all done in photoshop? I tried making my own on this pic but they didn't look right going all around in a circle http://www.flickr.com …/60937636@N00/4​265562795/

Wow. These are great. My only nitpick is that you have moving objects like the boats which clearly haven't moved very much contrasted with star trails that would have taken a long time to get. But still very interesting to look at.

@CalebG . they were from another shot .. yours look good i especailly like the second one! bascialy i took the original photo that was just a 30 sec exposure .. took a star trail image of the internet layed it over the original and changed the layer mode to blend or overlay or what ever looked better.. i then simply rubed out the exsess bits! easy!

Haha not cheating .. using my initiative
