There is a haze that runs down the extreme left edge of the building. Can anyone suggest a method (I'm using CS4) to eliminate it. I'm kind of fond of the image for sentimental reasons and would like to make it as good as I can. Any help is very much appreciated:-)

PS: Anything else you might suggest or add would be apprciated, too!

Brightness and Contrast adjustment layer, increase contrast then paint in the layer mask over the affected area with a low opacity brush until it's fixed.

Here's a quick edit with a few simple steps, plus a Topaz Labs preset

Uhm, did you read the OP? You altered the photo dramatically without fixing the addressed issue. You turned it into a drawing.

Topaz Labs? Freaky. Some kind of automated HDR? No matter, thanks for going to the effort. And thanks again HankS. Did the trick. Don't know why I thought it was going to be more complex. Layer mask did the trick.

I think you need to clean your monitor and back away from those plugins.

Being a haze problem, I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Local Contrast Enhancement (aka "Clarity").

This has been done with Unsharp Mask: Amount 30, Radius 50, Treshold 0.
Applied globally, no mask.
Slightly overdone, I guess, to point out the effect.

Probably because it doesn't fix the haze.
