This was a first (for me): while doing some headshots for a model's portfolio down near the beach today, a flock of seagulls decided to drop a surprise. Luckily, none of it hit us but my Lowepro wasn't so lucky. I cleaned off the poop with wet towels, but it still smells awful, and the manufacturer does not recommend anything but spot cleaning (i.e., no washing machine).

Any suggestions? I thought of Febreze but then it would probably just smell like poop and perfume mixed together.

I've heard the powdered OxyClean mixed with water into a paste works really well on carpet stains. It might be worth a shot here.

Maybe one of the pet stain enzyme cleaners? Simple Solution, PetZyme or Nature's Miracle are some I've seen.

Didn't even know there was such a product, thanks for the tip!
