Vignetting: 16-35 2.8L II & 1Ds MKIII

I recently acquired a 1Ds MKIII and paired it with the 16-35 2.8L II. Given that I've heard about vignetting and light fall off in the corners with this lens on a FF body, I thought I'd "max out" the settings to see for myself.
These test shots were taken at 16mm @ f2.8. This of course would be rather extreme, but is this to be expected to the extent as shown in the photos? Granted I will mostly be using this lens for landscape and outdoor shots at f8 - f22, so this would essentially be a non-issue... and when this would occur, I would edit in PP.
Just curious about your thoughts about this lens/body combo when pushed wide open.
Thanks in advance.

I'm too lazy to pull the lens out now and take a few test shots, but according to the lens test at SLRGear, at 16 mm wide open, it does have substantial light falloff in the corners. By 20 mm, the effect is nearly gone.

very normal, easily corrected when you shoot in RAW too.

Personally a little bit of "natural / non processed vignetting" makes me WANT to shoot wide open when I can. But if you're shooting landscape, I doubt you'd be using it wide open all that often. Besides, you can take out the vignetting if you shoot in RAW.

Taking out the vignetting in raw...what is your process/technique for doing this?

but would you really ever shoot these @ 16mm and wide open? i own both the 1ds mark III and the 16-35L II. very, very, rarely if ever is vignetting a "problem".

i suppose i could devise tests for failure but that just isn't what i do :D.
