Never, I say never, couldn't imagine that the "secret" of an image stabilizer could be in a chicken's head....

so, in theory, the chicken is like a IS'd tripod, i.e. all I need is to find a way to mount the camera on top of the chicken's head, and handheld the chicken.

chop off the chicken head for quick release.

es.

mmm.. a good idea indeed.
Only a question: as the chicken has two legs, could be considered a double monopod or an uncomplete tripod?.
