I was informed by a friend that his Radio Poppers PX units drain batteries very fast when they are off. He's dealing with this issue by putting batteries in the Radio Poppers just before they are to be used and removing batteries from all units when he has finished the job. I would like to find out if other Radio Poppers PX users experience the same problem, or is this only seen in older units? Thanks

AFAIK, they fixed this (or at least made it better)...

And FWIW, I pull my JrX batteries as well so they'll last longer...still on my original set and they've lasted probably over 1000 shots...

Pentax K20D, 77Ltd, 43Ltd, Sigma 17-70, 60-250/4, crapload of Strobist gear (SB28's, RP JrX Studios, Einsteins, WL, Speedo BD, softboxes, grids, etc.)

Don't have the issue so far (close to a year) but as a matter of habit I reverse mount one of the batteries as a practice anyway when I put the gear away and reverse two in my flashes so nothing gets inadvertantly turned on.

Lotsa stuff, running outta room and a wife...I keep looking at her and wondering???

Only happens with both my PX transmitters, never with any of my six receivers. Solution is to remove the batteries after usage...

Love KWANON...

I concur with the PX battery drain problem. I just make sure I alway have extra rechargables because I always forget to pull them out.
