After getting my lens and camera back from Canon HQ in Virginia on Monday, I looked forward to the rest of the week with rain and overcast skies... Late Saturday afternoon, I had my lens pointed in the direction waiting for the Cardinals to show up and lens set to beyond 8.5 meters, low a behold this guy shows up on the trolley line just 10'-12' away from the window... I snapped away forgetting to reset the camera and lens, (Wouldn't have had time anyways) my settings for the camera were on the minus exposure side for the cardinals.. I know it's a little on the dark side but any more light gave it a halo in most parts..

Anyways I did the best I could to salvage it with a little added light...

Thanks for looking...

You did a good job Norman, turned out a great shot. There are a few of these up around the lake but, at the moment, they seem far too skittish to get a decent shot. I've not even come close.

Very nice capture Norman! We are supposedly to have Catbirds around but I've never seen one before.

Hey, Norman, as I said on the other forum, this is a super shot with wonderful detail and sharpness. It looks like your gear difficulties should be over if this is an example.

Very nicely done, especially considering the situation. I'd love to see one of these in person.

Thank Harvey, hopefully they are over.... Weather has been terrible here when I can get out, it's either heavily overcast with threatening rain or raining...

Excellent shot. Looks like Canon did something right. How many times did you send it in?
