Hey everyone,

I joined a while back, have spent most of my time carefully reading through things to learn the basics. My name is Taylor, I live in the US. I'll be 22 this year and I'm about to finish my undergrad in pre-med. I'm not new to forums, been on car forums for a long time now, so I'm used to the new guy abuse.

Photography started with my car, I fell in love with capturing images of it. Started out with a Kodak P&S my parents bought me. Back in January I purchased an old Rebel XT (silver) and 18-55 IS lens off B&H. While I should have upgraded to a full frame, I wanted a larger LCD screen and a better sensor so I purchased a refurb Canon EOS T1i from B&H in May 2010. I sold the XT to fund the new cam.

I still consider myself constantly practicing. Every shot is a learning experience and same goes for my post processing. I enjoy doing automotive photography the most but I plan on getting into landscape and portraits in the future. All of this is as a hobby, recreational, and I'm sure I join a large group here that are in the same boat.

Currently I only have two lenses.

- Canon EF-S 18-55 3.5-5.6 IS
- Canon EF-S 55-250 4-5.6 IS

My only gear:

Sunpac Tripod
Monopod
Hoya Circular Polar Filter
Zeikos Grip

My future purchases (in order) are:

- Canon 85mm f/1.8 USM
- Canon 135mm f/2L
- Sigma 10-20mm Wide Angle

Here are a few of my shots. C&C Welcome. Don't be too harsh!

Black Mustang is my personal car

Also, I don't use lighting of any sort. After I knock out some of my lenses I plan to purchase I'll start learning about strobe/on camera lighting.

Yeah, but they are by no means good quality. The also have my old more distracting watermark on them.

I also use very minimal gear. I own a cheap tripod, monopod, Hoya Polar Filter, and have a grip on my camera. Thats all I can brag about.

Thanks man, glad I got the guts to make a post. Now its time to dive into this photography and put the GT aside for a while.

Here are some older shots of the GT, some of these might be with my old Rebel XT.

Thanks. Just full bolt ons and full exhaust w/ tune.

I was going to add cams and build the motor but I've kinda grown out of the modifying cars thing. I want a faster luxury car.
