Registax .mov to .avi

Hi there,

The 7D shoots HD video, which is excellent for lunar photography - considering the pictures I've seen that were made with a webcam, the results should be great. However, my 7D shoots .mov and after converting it to .avi Registax systematically tells me that it failed to decode.

Anyone know a way around this?

Have you tried using ZoomBrowser that came with your Camera and extracted all the frames from the .mov file and saved them as JPGs then loaded the JPGs into Registax? I did works great. It's been awhile since June, maybe you've already done this. How did it work?

Nothing worked as I've abandoned all forms of photography for a while.

Will get back once I get myself into it again. Thank you for the advice, will definetly check it out.
