So today was my last day of touring here in China and I promised a few people on these forums that I'd post up a bunch of photos from my travels. We have two days left here in China before heading back to Canada and this has been quite the experience for myself and my girlfriend. We started off in Shanghai and then made our way south through Huangshan, Zhangjiajie and then all the way up to Beijing.

Here's a few images from our trip that I personally find interesting and hope others do as well. There's lots more up on my flickr page for those interested and I'd definitely recommend visiting the places we did for anyone thinking of traveling in China.

C&C greatly appreciated as always!

Looks like you had a great trip and got to see a lot of what China has to offer - but I bet there is a lot more waiting to be discovered.

Thanks for sharing the images. Nice work.

Thanks all!

Barely scratched the surface :) The more places we saw the more we learned about what else we were missing or didn't see which just makes you want to plan another trip. I'd have to quit my job and come over here for probably a good 12 months in order to see every possible thing I'd want to. After seeing Chengde today we started discussing a trip to Tibet possibly next year so we'll see :)

Great images. I especially like the first image of Zhangjiajie forest.

Gets me pretty pumped. I'm taking a trip to China in October, but am staying primarily around Beijing, with a few side adventures here and there. :)

If you get the chance try to head out to Chengde and see some of the Tibetan inspired temples and stuff. There's so much to do and see in Beijing and this was the one city we hardly felt out of place in. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

hey i love your shots. im actually in china right now and i was wondering how you get your pictures so clear? i've been having trouble. for picture 3 how did you get the reflection of the water? usually mine just comes out as green and looks thick and fake.

I use Aperture's Definition Setting and I also have a few Clarity presets that I found online. It really depends on the day as well, some of my shots I didn't publish you can barely depict anything due to the haze which is going to plague you a lot while you're there. The pond shot was in Hongcun Village which is at the base of Huangshan so there's not much haze around the village.

oh alright thanks. yeah most of my shots here are pretty hard to see cause of all the haze. none of the pictures i've taken have blue skies =[they're just a gray/white blob.

There is no such thing as blue skies in China in the summer ;). You usually get the best views in the fall/winter and spring.
