Hi there, please help me with this delemma.

I took about 200 shots within an hour, but , i dont know what happened, it did not register in the CF card , I think. 1st card, registered, 2 nd card ( did not have any new pics, only the old ones), the 3rd card, registered.

I know there are about 200 pics or so in the 2nd card because the picture numbers tells me about 200 clicks have been made within an hour ( that must be the 2nd card) , I thought I formatted the card, I am not sure what happened. If I did not format the card, it would not have allowed me to click more photos anyways?

I am so confused. what program if any can i use to trouble shoot this? Or what exactly ist he problem any ways, ??
I feel so bad I lost these 200 precious photos. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thansk so much

I would assume that your camera has an option to shoot without a card, which can be enabled / disabled in the CFn menu. If that is enabled, I believe that it doesn't warn you if there is no card in the slot and you can just blaze away and record nothing. I would have thought that it would warn you if there WAS a card and it was full, but maybe not?

Just a long shot, but you might want to check if that is enabled (and, unless you plan on using the camera without a card, disable it).

If there's no card, the frame count won't change.
